Teapot Crazy

Yes, I am a bit silly or crazy, but I thought you
would enjoy seeing the teapot visit the Wall Drug Store
in South Dakota.
No tea was served, but a picture was taken.
How fun to travel with the Traveling Teapot.
I can just imagine the travels in store for this teapot.

The Teapot Returns

It was so nice to have the traveling teapot arrive back at my house for a visit. Marilyn and her husband stopped by for lunch on the first day of their "Friends and Family 2012" road trip and brought the traveling teapot with them. I invited my friend and neighbor, Karleen, to join us. We enjoyed a simple lunch of quiche, roasted sweet potatoes, farm fresh asparagus, fresh baked bread, and spinach salad with strawberries and poppy seed dressing. Marilyn kindly made two types of tea; Golden Yunnan and Shanti Tulsi Tisane to go with dessert. We enjoyed an "Obst Kuchen" that was made recipe that's been in my family for many years. [Obst Kuchen is a German recipe for a fresh fruit flan sponge cake.] The time flew by! How fun it was to chat about tea, gardens, and family with Jim and Marilyn. Too soon they had to head back on the road so they could travel to their destination for the night. It was special to have tea-friend Marilyn stop by.

First Stop for the Teapot and Me

The first stop for the Traveling Teapot was
at the home of LaDonna, Gracious Hospitality.
What fun the teapot and I had seeing all the beautiful
teacups there and sharing in a lovely lunch.
Isn't that a beautiful teacup I was allowed to pick
all on my own from LaDonna's collection?
This dessert was amazing too.
I am not showing you much of it or you should certainly
be wanting to have some too.
The travels are continuing.
Not sure where the teapot will serve tea again,
but it is enjoying the travels.
A big THANKS LaDonna for sharing tea with us.

Sunshine Morning

This morning I couldn't resist just having tea alone while sitting outside
and enjoying a rare morning of April sunshine.
The Traveling Teapot has been anxiously awaiting an adventure,
but I had to tell the teapot I was busy getting ready for another adventure.
An adventure in my car visiting some of you.
Soon very soon the teapot will be packed up safely in my car for
a very long ride.  The Traveling Teapot is looking forward to
the adventure and having tea with friends.
Then on May 5th it will be passed on to Mary Jane for new adventures.
I hope to share the teapots adventures until May 5th as we hit the road on
April 26th.  Come back and check from time to time as the teapot
travels with me down the highway.

Hello there little Plum Teapot

The Traveling Teapot went with me on Friday evening to my women's group.
My women's group meets once a month for a potluck.
I usually bring the dessert.
This time I brought oatmeal cookies and tea in the traveling teapot.
Now I must say, I do love my women's group; but they like wine and coffee.
I shared the story of the plum teapot and they graciously each accepted a
small taste of the tea.  Then they wanted their coffee.
Can you imagine, I am the only tea drinker among the seven women.
Are there ever times when you try to share the thrill of a lovely pot of tea
and your guests just want their coffee?
I guess we can't convert them all, can we?
I tried~

Another Appearance by the Traveling Teapot

Today the teapot went traveling.
Tucked into my basket we ventured out
for a visit with my 92 year old Aunt Arlene.
She was thrilled to share in the adventure.
Inside the teapot was Celestial Seasonings
Candy Cane Lane.
Then what is a pot of tea without something sweet.
We had Victoria Sponge Cake with
strawberry jam and mascarpone filling.
It was a special afternoon tea shared
with the Traveling Teapot and my aunt.

The Traveling Teapot does Easter

Preparations were made.
Two teapots were waiting.
The one with the sweater on
was the Traveling Teapot.
It would hold a special Tiekuanyin Oolong.
The other would hold a tisane of Tulsi.
It was a special time shared with friends
and family around the tea table.
Easter Tea is our family tradition.
The Traveling Teapot just made it all
the more special.
The story was shared and
those sitting there loved hearing
about our Traveling Teapot.

Standing Ready to Shine

The Traveling Teapot has been rather quiet this week,
but it is standing with a friend and ready for the special event.
Easter is coming and with the celebration the teapot will shine.
The teapot found a cozy sweater for now, but soon all will be revealed.
The teapot and I are sending best wishes for sunny skies
and delight for the weekend to come.
Happy Easter from the Traveling Teapot and me.
xoxo, Marilyn
