Elevenses

Elevenses

A friend returning from France brought me a tin of *The’ Violette, Jardin d’Elen*  that the little plum teapot is steeping.   The aroma is just like being surrounded by fresh violets in the garden.   Violets are one of my favorite flowers.

I have some correspondence to catch up on, so took my tea tray to the secretary with the pull out shelf to sip while I write.  Won’t you join me?  Oh my, it tastes just like violets smell…..wonderful!    A violet cream macaron and chocolate covered cashews for Elevenses today.  Enjoy!

Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it.”
