First Impression: Swan House is located a few blocks off main street in Findlay, Ohio. The Victorian Italianate brick building, built in 1865, has been lovingly restored to the original splendor. Parking is along the street in front or the lot in back.
Tea Room Setting: Afternoon Tea is offered in two rooms. The main dining room is sunny and bright. Matching floral linens, beautiful chandeliers, and cushioned chairs add to the elegance of afternoon tea time.
The garden room features painted brick walls and a french cafe feel. This room is used for large groups, showers, etc.
Tea Tidbits: Afternoon tea begins with a scone. Several spreads are available, cream, strawberry jam and delicious lemon curd made in house.
It is always hard to select a favorite. The quiche is always delicious, flavors change monthly.
Service: Whenever a tea room owner also works in the dining room, you can assure you will have a wonderful time at tea. Bev is the perfect tea room owner. She pampers her guests and attends to your every need. You never feel rushed. Often times we arrive at the first seating and (as long as she doesn't need our table), can be found, still visiting, when she is ready to close.
Gift Shop: Two rooms are filled with goodies for afternoon tea, as well as a large selection of jewelry, children's toys, travel items, cards and accessories.
All of the loose leaf teas are available for purchase at the counter.
Lunch available 11:30-1:30
Tuesday - Saturday
Extras: Findlay offers many other options to fill an afternoon. My favorite antique mall is located just off of I-75 at exit 161. Jeffrey's Antique Gallery is the largest in northwest Ohio with over 250 dealers.
The Mazza Museum is located at the University of Findlay. It holds the largest collection of artwork by illustrators of children's books in the world. The exhibits change frequently, ensuring a different experience each time you visit. This is delightful for children, as well as adults.
Dietsch Chocolates is a required stop for my vehicle. The candy and ice cream shop is located a few blocks north of the Swan House. Their maple clusters can not be beat. They are noted for their white chocolate covered pretzels.
Wishing you a day full of sunshine and teacups!
Sips and Smiles,
Teresa

This tea room has been on my bucket list forever!! I am so happy to see the Traveling Teapot visit there if I can't.
Thanks for sharing another fun adventure!
I do remember seeing this tearoom in Bruce Richardson's book. How fun for the traveling teapot and you to be able to visit and have tea.
I remember seeing this in The Great Tearooms of America. So glad you had tea there and shared with us.
